|
Briefly, our Parish PPC structure is headed by the Parish Priest who in turn is responsible to the Archbishop of Singapore and his Jesuit Superiors, although the latter would not generally directly interfere with the ordinary running of the Parish.
The Parish Priest is supported by a Jesuit Parish Team and other resident Jesuits of Kingsmead Hall for Masses, Confessions, house blessings, sick calls etc |

The Parish Priest is further supported by the Parish Finance Committee (PFC), the Parish Accountant, the Social Mission Core Team (SMCT) and PPC exco members. The PFC, SMCT and PPC exco members each have monthly meetings.
However, the PPC exco members are to meet with PPC representatives of ministries and neighbourhood groups at least once every quarter for evaluation and feedback which they will bring to the PPC exco monthly meetings. In these PPC exco meetings, members will discuss both the particular ministry’s needs and the Parish Goal needs of each ministry and neighbourhood group. The content and issues raised by ministries and neighbourhood groups with regard to the Parish Goal will be collated at PPC exco meetings and raised at our quarterly PPC meetings followed by an annual Parish Assembly. For details, please refer to the notes on, “PPC Structure – Implementation Process and Timeline. (see below)
Our Parish’s ministries are divided into: Faith formation (Catechetical and Youth/Young Adult Ministries), Pastoral Ministries, Service Ministries, Liturgical Ministries and Prayer Group Devotions/Ministries.
Our Parish at present also has 23 Neighbourhood groups: 5 groups are active and 18 groups are passive. And of the latter, 11 have convenors and 7 do not. We are hoping to re-group the present 23 Neighbourhood groups into 6 groups or zones. This re-grouping will be proposed to Neighbourhood group conveners and representatives. And with a new and more supportive structure that we are planning to put in place, we are hopeful that the Neighbourhood groups will revive. |
