NO CLASSES

on Sat/Sun 31 Jul & 1 Aug (Feast Day) and Sat/Sun 7/8 Aug (National Day weekend ).
 
Classes resume 14/15 August 2010

Parish Feast Day Activities
All catechists and families are invited to attend all the Feast Day activities:
- Penitential Service on Mon 26th July, 8pm
- Triduum Mass at 8pm nightly
- Day 1 -Wed 28th July. Knowing God
- Day 2 - Thur 29th July, Loving God
- Day 3 - Fri 30th July, Serving God
 
1 Aug 2010. 5.30pm Mass at Church of St Ignatius. All are invited to the Feast Day special Mass and to the Priestly Ordination Mass of Jesuit Fr James Boey, SJ, and thereafter to a buffet dinner at St Ignatius Hall.

Classes resume this weekend of 3/4 Jul. We trust you have all had a good rest and are re-charged !

 

BIBLE SUNDAY (11 JULY) ACTIVITY FOR CHILDREN

Calling all children, don't miss the chance to dress up as your favourite biblical character when you come for the 8.15 am Mass next Sunday – there will be special prizes. Organised by Children's Liturgy and BAT@StIg

3rd /4th July  -  Term 3 commences at our two venues - St Ignatius and Maris Stella Kindergarten this weekend.

10th /11th July  - Pri 5/6 Parents Meeting is on for both Saturday and Sunday classes. The meetings will be during class time:

Saturday classes from 4.40 - 5.20 pm in St Ignatius Hall
Sunday classes from 10.10-10.50 am at La Storta room (to be confirmed)

17 July, 2 - 5.30 pm - Pri 2 Day of Recollection and Parents Meeting on Saturday. This is in preparation for the children’s reception of the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Parents and children please meet at the Place of Gathering punctually. This replaces the regular classes for Pri 2.

Thank you to parents of Primary 4 children for your presence, support and prayers at our recent meetings.

 

May Day Holiday - No classes this weekend. Classes resume at our two venues of St Ignatius/Maris Stella for the weekends of 8/9 May and 15/16 May.

 

Events for Weekend of 22/23 May (Pentecost) - As per the catechism calendar, there will be no formal classes. Instead the following catechism activities will be taking place:

- Saturday 22 May, 1.30 - 5.30 pm Catechists Meeting/Training at Conference Room, Sacred Heart Hall
- Sunday 23 May, 9.30 -10 am Primary Level: Video Show on St John Vianney at La Storta Room
  *Families staying to watch video please park at the Kingsmead Hall area to minimise parking problems in the underground car park.
- Sunday 23 May, 1.15 - 3.30 pm Secondary/Post Con Levels: The Shroud of Turin Sharing/Video at AV room, Sacred Heart Hall.
- Sec 3 Confirmation Camp from Friday 28 May - Sunday 30 May @ St Theresa Retreat Centre, off Telok Blangah Rd
- Sec 2 Camp from Friday 4 June- Sunday 6 June @ IHM Retreat Centre, Highland Rd.

 

June holidays - no classes from 29/30 May till 27/28 June (inclusive).
Term 3 begins on 3/4 July.

No Weekend Catechism Classes on 1st & 2nd May weekend!

Labour Day holiday.

 

Caution: All youth/children attending classes at St Ignatius premises are reminded that the construction area is out of bounds for safety reasons. Only the left stair case of Sacred Heart Hall is to be used for access upstairs. Parents please advise your youth/children.

Primary 4 Parents – Reminder to attend parents meeting /reflection on Sat/Sun 24/25 April weekend at the DAISY ROOM (hall area) @ Maris Stella Kindergarten.

Primary 5 classes –  Communion Minister, Anthony Lim, will be conducting  a reminder/coaching  session on receiving the Eucharist in a reverent manner for our children.

CHILDREN LOVE TO PLAY, BUT THEY ALSO LOVE TO PRAY

To bring children close to the Heart of Jesus and to gaze upon Him in Adoration” by Fr Antoine Thomas, from the community of St John.

Venue: Church of the Holy Spirit, 248 Upper Thomson Road.

Children’s Eucharistic Adoration in the Third Millennium Part 1 “Children’s Adoration” on Wed 21 April, 8 pm – 10 pm @ the Attic (Level 4).

Children’s Eucharistic Adoration in the Third Millennium Part 2 “Mass Unveiled for Children” on Sat 24 April, 10 am – 12 pm @ the Main Church (Level 2).
 
For parents, catechists and those in children liturgy. Parents please bring your children along on Sat.

Thank you for your support and co-operation in making our First Term Parish Wide activities for our youth/kids ie. Hosanna 2010 and Palm Sunday procession a great success.

   

Easter Egg Hunt

4 April 2010 Easter Sunday after the 8.15am Mass.
All are welcome.

 

Easter Egg Hunt was canceled due to the rain. The Easter Eggs were distributed to all the children.

   

Normal Classes resume at the two venues (St Ignatius and Maris Stella) on Saturday/Sunday – 10 / 11 April 2010

All Parents -  please ensure your children/youth are punctual and attend classes regularly.

Primary 3 Parents Gathering/Meeting - Parents of Pri 3 children are reminded to come along to the DAISY ROOM (at hall area) @ Maris Stella Kindergarten as follows:

- Saturday classes on 10 April, 4.30 - 5.20 pm
- Sunday classes on 11 April, 10 - 10.50 am

Primary 4 Parents – Please attend parents meeting on Sat/Sun 24/25 April weekend  (same time/venues as Primary 3)

Secondary 3 - Change in Confirmation Camp Venue/Dates – Friday 28 May to Sunday 30 May.

Venue: St Theresa's Church Retreat Centre.
Please note this change due to the non-availability of IHM retreat house.
