First Holy Communion

In Singapore, children receive the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion in Grade 2. First Holy Communion classes are offered on either Tuesdays or Thursdays.

Pre-Confirmation
Grade 7 is considered a Pre-Confirmation year and although it is not a pre-requisite for Confirmation, the preparation is highly encouraged to ready candidates for their Confirmation.

Confirmation
Grade 8 (Confirmation year - age 13 before September 1, 2010) are offered on either Thursdays or Sundays. The Sunday program consists of one-and-half hour sessions on alternate Sundays (4pm- 5:30pm).

Call to Faith Textbooks
Call to Faith textbooks (Harcourt Publishers) will be available for sale on the first day of class.

Volunteers
To help share the faith with as many children as possible, please consider teaching and planting the seeds of faith in our children. Volunteers and catechists make the program happen! Kindly return email to us ( CCDstignatius@gmail.com )if you are a confirmed Catholic and which class you are interested in teaching.

Bus Coordinators
There are bus coordinators for SAS, UWC, TTS and OFS. More schools will be added when more Bus Coordinators are available. From 1st August 2010, check Bus Coordinators on the church CCD website for latest updates. If your child is from another school and you would like to help organize a bus from that school, please let us know soon so that we can include you in the website posting.

Please refer to the Church of St Ignatius website www.stignatius.org.sg or Church Bulletin for more details closer to August 2010.
