Welcoming Ministry St Ignatius (WMSI)

We are a self-funding, social based ministry whose aim is to foster feelings of belonging to our church community amongst all members of the congregation. We believe that once people start to know and become friends with other members of the parish, they will then be more likely to take an active part in church life, both spiritually and socially.

We organize the twice yearly registration for new parishioners followed by the welcoming coffee morning to meet and greet new members. We have also held events such as Advent Wreath making for families, international cooking classes, ….

All who are interested in welcoming those new to the parish and to fellowship with one another.

Place and time for ministry work

We do not have a specific place or time for our work.

Events are based to fit in with the church calendar, and we hold meetings as and when we need to. Usually, this is on a weekday morning. However, we are looking to perhaps holding meetings at weekends or early evenings so that we can widen our membership base.
