CCD REGISTRATION - First Holy Communion and Kinder to Grade 7
 
INTAKE YEAR 2011-2012: REGISTRATION OPENS FROM AUGUST 1 TO AUGUST 31, 2011.

ALL STUDENTS (NEW OR RETURNING) HAVE TO REGISTER ON A YEARLY BASIS.

BEFORE PROCEEDING TO REGISTER ONLINE, PLEASE READ ALL 'REQUIRED READING' on left-side of CCD WEBSITE ESPECIALLY THE REGISTRATION GUIDELINES.

NOTE THAT a RED ASTERISK (*) INDICATES THAT THE INFORMATION IS MANDATORY. FAILURE TO PROVIDE THE INFORMATION WILL CAUSE THE ONLINE REGISTRATION TO BE REJECTED.

Each child's journey to becoming a stronger believer begins with their parents' active participation in their faith formation. The CCD team hopes to work with parents and students in making this journey a spiritually fulfilling one and bringing our children into a closer relationship with God, through learning the teachings of Jesus Christ and his Church. We look forward to having your children in the program and our combined effort in faith formation.

Please note that space is limited. Acceptance is on a first-come-first-served basis.
Enrollment depends on the availability of teachers and the receipt of required documents as indicated below.
RETURNING STUDENTS

GRADE LEVEL WILL BE ASSIGNED AUTOMATICALLY by the registration program based on the date of birth and availability of class. Note that cut-off date is September 1st. For example: the child has to be 7 years old by September 1st to be eligible for Grade 2 - the First Holy Communion class. A wait-list message will appear If the class is full.

For request to change the grade assigned, please register online first. Make a note (ENTER your request for change) in the SPECIAL NEEDS box. Then, send an email to CCDstignatius@gmail.com giving your reason for change of grade level. Any adjustment to grade is subject to availability.

SACRAMENTAL INFORMATION: BAPTISM
For First Holy Communion (FHC, SHC and USHC) classes, your child must be baptized before December in order to participate in the preparation for the sacraments. If you would like your child to be baptized at Church of St Ignatius, please contact Church office (email: church@stignatius.org.sg) to arrange for your child's baptism.
If your child is baptized, the Year and Church are required. Please fill in the other details if available.

If your child has been baptized in another Christian denomination, your child will have to attend a Rite of Acceptance into the Catholic Church before receiving the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. Please email the church office to make arrangements.

SACRAMENTAL INFORMATION: FIRST HOLY COMMUNION
If your child has NOT received FHC, and is between 8 to 10 years old: your child will be assigned to a Special Holy Communion class (SHC) which prepares older children for the sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion.

If your child has NOT received FHC and aged 11 to 13 yrs: your child will be assigned to a USHC (Upper Special Holy Communion class).

If your child is NOT baptized, your child must be baptized before December in order to participate in the preparation for the sacraments. If you would like your child to be baptized at Church of St Ignatius, please contact Church office (email: church@stignatius.org.sg) to arrange for your child's baptism.

If your child has received First Holy Communion (FHC), the Year and Church of First Holy Communion are required. Please fill in the other details if available.

BUS TRANSPORT SURVEY
Note: One-way bus transport from school to the Church is provided from those schools that have parents volunteering to be CCD Bus Coordinators. Availability of a volunteer and the demand from each school vary from year to year. There will be bus service for SAS, UWC (Dover), TTS, AISS, SAIS and OFS (Thursdays). For other schools, please check the BUS TRANSPORT section of the website to see if there is a coordinator. After the registration period, new volunteers may be added for other schools. You must answer YES to the question if your child requires bus transport in order to be included on the bus list."

By checking YES to this question, your information will be given to the Bus Coordinator and used to determine demand for a bus from your child's school. You must contact the Bus Coordinator directly to arrange transport from your school. The Church does not organize nor is responsible for bus transportation.

CURRENTLY: Bus transportation is available for the schools listed below on the designated days. Please contact the bus coordinator directly as CCD does not manage bus transport:

UWC - United World College (Dover)- Tuesday and Thursday
AIS - Australian International School - Tuesday and Thursday
TTS - Tanglin Trust School- Tuesday (depends on availability of parent volunteer for 2011-2012 intake)
OFS - Overseas Family School - Thursday
SAIS - Stanford American International School (shares the bus with AIS)

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION CHECKLIST for children in FHC / SHC classes
In order to be prepared for the Sacrament of First Holy Communion, all the following requirements must be met. Please check each box to indicate your completion or agreement.

I will submit Course Fee of SGD100.
