INTAKE YEAR 2011-2012: REGISTRATION OPENS FROM AUGUST 1 TO AUGUST 31, 2011.

ALL STUDENTS (NEW OR RETURNING) HAVE TO REGISTER ON A YEARLY BASIS.

BEFORE PROCEEDING TO REGISTER ONLINE, PLEASE READ ALL 'REQUIRED READING' on left-side of CCD WEBSITE, ESPECIALLY THE REGISTRATION GUIDELINES.

NOTE THAT a RED ASTERISK (*) INDICATES THAT THE INFORMATION ASKED FOR IS MANDATORY. FAILURE TO PROVIDE THE INFORMATION WILL CAUSE THE ONLINE REGISTRATION TO BE REJECTED.

Each child's journey to becoming a stronger believer begins with their parents' active participation in their faith formation. The CCD team hopes to work with parents and students in making this journey a spiritually fulfilling one and bringing our children into a closer relationship with God, through learning the teachings of Jesus Christ and his Church. We look forward to having your children in the program and our combined effort in faith formation.

Please note that space is limited. Acceptance is on a first-come-first-served basis.
Enrollment depends on the availability of teachers and the receipt of required documents as indicated below.

GRADE LEVEL WILL BE ASSIGNED AUTOMATICALLY by the registration program based on the date of birth and availability of class. Note that cut-off date is September 1st. For example: your child has to be 13 years old before September 1st to be eligible for Confirmation class. If your child is under-aged, he/she will not be allowed to register.

FYI- We will accept children who are 13 to 17 years old and who wish to be confirmed. Please set the parameters accordingly. If over 17 years of age, he will not be accepted.

If the class is full, a wait-list message will appear.

SACRAMENTAL INFORMATION: BAPTISM
For Confirmation classes, your child must have been baptized in a Catholic Church.

If your child is not baptized, you will only be able to register for the Grade 7 Pre-Confirmation class. To register, please exit from this registration screen and select the “Registration Form for Kindergarten to Grade 7”.

If your child is baptized, a copy of your child’s Baptism certificate is required AND Please enter the full address and email of the church of baptism as St Ignatius Church will need to send the Confirmation details to your child’s Church of Baptism (for them to update Record of Confirmation).

Note: If your child has been baptized in another Christian denomination AND have not attended a RITE OF ACCEPTANCE into the Catholic Church, please contact the Confirmation Coordinator for clarification/arrangements.

SACRAMENTAL INFORMATION: FIRST HOLY COMMUNION
Note: For Confirmation classes, your child must have received First Holy Communion in order to participate in the preparation for the sacraments. A copy of your child’s FHC certificate will be required.

If your child has NOT received FHC, you may register for the Grade 7 Pre-Confirmation class. The child will be prepared for the sacraments and receive their First Holy Communion in May. To register, please exit from this registration screen and select the “Registration Form for Kindergarten to Grade 7”.

BUS TRANSPORT SURVEY
Note: One-way bus transport from school to the Church is provided from those schools that have parents volunteering to be CCD Bus Coordinators. Availability of a volunteer and the demand from each school vary from year to year. There will be bus service for SAS, UWC (Dover), TTS, AISS, SAIS and OFS (Thursdays). For other schools, please check the BUS TRANSPORT section of the website to see if there is a coordinator. After the registration period, new volunteers may be added for other schools. You must answer YES to the question if your child requires bus transport in order to be included on the bus list."

By checking YES to this question, your information will be given to the Bus Coordinator and used to determine demand for a bus from your child's school. You must contact the Bus Coordinator directly to arrange transport from your school. The Church does not organize nor is responsible for bus transportation.

CURRENTLY: Bus transportation is available for the schools listed below on the designated days. Please contact the bus coordinator directly as CCD does not manage bus transport:

UWC - United World College (Dover)- Tuesday and Thursday
AIS - Australian International School - Tuesday and Thursday
TTS - Tanglin Trust School- Tuesday (depends on availability of parent volunteer for 2011-2012 intake)
OFS - Overseas Family School - Thursday
SAIS - Stanford American International School (shares the bus with AIS)

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR PARENTS OF CONFIRMATION CHILDREN
All Parents of Confirmation children are required to commit to at least one committee involved in running this program. In addition, parents will be asked to chaperone some of the Community Service activities with their children.

In order to ensure an even spread of parent volunteers across the committees, you will be asked to select another committee to help in, if the target number in that committee has been reached.

Your contribution to the continued growth of your child's CCD class is greatly appreciated and necessary to our success. Thank you for your support.

SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENTS and PAYMENT OF FEES
Your child will be enrolled after the parents' compulsory attendance at the Parents Orientation Meeting for Confirmation and the submission of the 5 documents as indicated below. Notification of your child's enrollment will be sent through a "Confirmation Enrollment" email. Please check each box to indicate your completion or agreement.
 
Mandatory (POM) Parents Orientation Meeting *

Cross the cheque (draw 2 lines across the top-left hand corner) and write clearly on the back of the cheque: CCD-Confrimation, the name of your child, your name and contact number.

Refer to the Church/CCD website www.stignatius.org.sg/ccd for preparation and specimen of a Singapore cheque.
