TOB 101 by Fr David Garcia . Applying Theology of the Body in Today's Society

 

Come and listen to Fr David Garcia unpack Saint John Paul II's Theology of the Body, a thought-provoking distillation of Catholic teachings. Discover freedom, love, dignity, faithfulness and true humanity in clear, accessible language and ponder contemporary examples in the context of today's society in an interactive setting.

The programme is the first of a two-part series. The second part, TOB 201, will start from 8 April 2015 to 27 May 2015.

NOVEMBER: Monday 4th to Saturday 9th (10.00 am to 4.00 pm at Columbarium) Bookings of Relocation of Niches - “First-come-First Served”


DECEMBER: Monday 2nd to Saturday 7th (Either 10.00 am OR 2.00 pm) Bookings of Re-interment of urns to new niches: Liturgical celebration by Priest - 12 families/group

 

Please note:

Bookings of new niches will ONLY be available AFTER Phase II of the Columbarium is completed (during April 2014.)
However, bookings are acceptable for death before Phase II completion.
Our “Prayer Room” for wakes at Columbarium is only available for registered parishioners of St Ignatius and those who have booked niches.

   

CCD (Catechism for the International Schools)

 

CCD YEAR 2013 – 2014 START and END TERM DATES:

TERM 1: Start  8th SEPTEMBER  2013 End  10th DECEMBER 2013
TERM 2: Start  14th JANUARY 2014 End  22nd MAY 2014

 

CCD Class Times:

Kindergarten  to Grade 7 Tuesday and Thursday 4.00 pm to 5.00pm
Confirmation Sunday 3.30pm to 5.20pm
There will be no Thursday Confirmation Classes

 

CCD Sacramental Dates:

Confirmation Mass -  Sat 10 May 2014, 3pm

First Holy Communion Mass - Sat 17 May 2014, 3pm

 

CCD is a faith formation program for Catholic children, aged 5 ½ to 14 years old in international schools.

DVC Youth
(for the youth @ St Ignatius)

The DVC youth community has a strong presence in the Parish of the Church of St. Ignatius, and is deeply involved in bringing life to the church throughout the liturgical year. “De Vita Christi” means “The Life of Christ” and captures the community's deep desire to live out Christ-like, God-centred lives.







Neighbourhood Christian Communities (NCCs)

NCCs are:

One – they are united with the parish and with each other.

Holy – they are Christ-centred, they do gospel-sharing and engage in other forms of prayer.

Catholic – they welcome everybody, they are not exclusive by age or interest etc.

Apostolic – they serve and evangelise (mission in action).

 

There are five ZONE's (A, B, C, D, E) in the Parish of St Ignatius.
Zones are based on the parishioner's home address.
