De Vita Christi Community
A fun-loving group of individuals called by God to be His instruments of love, the De Vita Christi Youth Community (DVC) was established in 2010 to gather the individual youth ministries of the Church of St. Ignatius to form a collective youth wing. It is run by the Youth Office, our two Youth Coordinators, Sophia and Natalie, as well as the Youth Chaplain, Fr Greg.
We chose our name from the title of a book written by Ludolph of Saxony, that inspired St. Ignatius of Loyola to leave the military and dedicate his life to God. In English, “De Vita Christi” means “The Life of Christ” and captures our deep desire to live out Christ-like, God-centred lives, as individuals and together as a community.
DVC has grown and flourished over the past decade that it has been a collective whole, where the focus on individual and communal growth has allowed the provision of a community that all the church’s youth can be part of whether or not they feel the direct call to service. We are a close-knitted family who welcomes new members with open hearts and arms, consisting of various ministries who serve the parish, but also hold space for one another to accompany each other in our growing faith journeys.
Today, the DVC Youth community has a strong presence in the Church of St. Ignatius and is deeply involved in bringing life to the church throughout the liturgical year.

We are a group of young adults in dedicated to deepening our relationship with God through journeying with one another. With a strong attachment to Ignatian Spirituality, we hope to better discern God’s will in our lives, and to grow into a family that constantly provides, loves and is ever present.

The DVC choir was born out of a desire to enliven the Sunday Eucharist through songs. We empower members as worshippers musically and spiritually, providing a safe space for young people to grow in faith and friendship. The choir has since grown to be a close-knit family, ever open to welcoming new voices.

Our main ministry is to the sec 3 and sec 4 confirmation classes but we also help out in the DVC camps. Our role mainly entails assisting the catechist to run sessions, building friendships with the participants in our group and leading sharings.

We are a group of young adults (born in 1995 - 2000) in DVC. We started this new community to create a space for fellow disciples to grow in faith alongside one another. We meet for weekly formation sessions and fellowships!
The RCIY programme is a program for youths aged 16 to 25 who are interested in the Catholic Faith. We are a vibrant community made up of Facilitators, Sponsors and Inquirers, from all walks of life but with the same desire to know and be known by God.

Seeking Surrender is DVC's worship community+ministry! We serve the youth of our parish by playing for camps and events, offering ourselves as instruments for God to draw His children to Him through music. We also gathers for scripture reflection, prayer and fellowship.
